Supervisors
Association Supervisors
All supervisors listed on this page have successfully completed the IEMT Supervisors Training Programme, a rigorous and experiential course designed by Mickey Berkal. This advanced-level training equips practitioners with the skills to facilitate professional supervision sessions that are ethical, effective, and tailored specifically to the needs of IEMT practitioners.
Why Supervision?
While not a mandatory requirement for IEMT practitioners, supervised practice is strongly encouraged by the Association. Supervision provides a safe and confidential space to:
- Review client work and gain professional insight
- Strengthen ethical practice and practitioner wellbeing
- Deepen your understanding of the IEMT model
- Discuss challenges, dilemmas, and complex cases
- Prevent burnout and maintain professional integrity
As one leading psychotherapist put it:
“With the support of competent supervisors, therapists are better able to attend to clients with empathy, and with a confidence in their ability to offer help.”
. Judith Lewis Herman
Practitioners from multi-disciplinary backgrounds are welcome to continue working with their existing supervisors.
