Welcome to our Volunteering Opportunities page. We appreciate your consideration in joining our association to effect positive change in individuals' lives. Volunteers are integral to our mission of providing effective mental health solutions.
Before applying, please be sure to review the criteria and requirements outlined below to ensure this opportunity aligns with your skills and interests. We value your enthusiasm and look forward to the possibility of collaborating to help our community thrive.
All association members who volunteer must sign the volunteer contract and return it to britishboardofiemt@gmail.com. When emailing the Board, please state which organisation you are volunteering for.

Icarus - Veterans and PTSD

Opportunity for IEMT Practitioners to Collaborate with Icarus Charity: https://www.icaruscharity.org/
All IEMT Practitioners are now invited to apply to offer their services to Icarus, a charity providing mental health support for veterans. Icarus was formed in response to a need for more immediate and effective support.
Icarus is committed to improving the quality of mental health provision for the veteran community.
Conditions:
- Experience: You must have at least two years of experience as a certified IEMT practitioner.
- Additional Qualifications: You must hold at least one other certification or qualification relevant to working with psychological trauma.
- Register: You will need to notify the British Board of IEMT of your application for the volunteer register and send a signed copy of the volunteer agreement. Please email them via: britishboardofiemt@gmail.com

Teen Lives Matter - Teenage Mental Health Issues

Teen Lives Matter is a dedicated Community Interest Company, based in Littleborough, Lancashire.
The TLM team are deeply committed to aiding teenagers who are grappling with emotional and psychological challenges such as self-harm, anxiety, suicidal thoughts and depression.
Conditions:
- Experience: You must have at least two years of experience as a certified IEMT practitioner.
- Additional Qualifications: You must hold at least one other certification or qualification relevant to working with young people.
- Enhanced DBS checked
- Safeguarding Level 3 Certified
- Register: You will need to notify the British Board of IEMT of your application for the volunteer register and send a signed copy of the volunteer agreement. Please email them via: britishboardofiemt@gmail.com

Help A Squaddie - PTSD and Homelessness

Help A Squaddie was initially established with the primary goal of rehousing homeless ex-service personnel. However, it quickly became apparent that addressing symptoms and issues earlier could prevent homelessness.
As a result, the organization shifted its main objectives towards providing timely and accessible support to veterans in need. By collaborating with various agencies and organizations, Help A Squaddie ensures direct and rapid assistance to ex-military personnel. Additionally, the organization offers support with housing and employment.
Currently, Help A Squaddie only covers the Staffordshire and South Derbyshire areas.

- Experience: You must have at least two years of experience as a certified IEMT practitioner and experience working within the military community, preferably as a veteran yourself.
- Additional Qualifications: You must hold at least one other certification or qualification relevant to working with psychological trauma.

Rock 2 Recovery's mission is to save and change the lives of those in our Armed Forces, our Veteran Community, the Emergency Services and their families affected by stress. Our purpose is to inspire and coach towards a more positive future.
