Getting Started as an IEMT Practitioner

Getting started as a practitioner of IEMT can seem a complicated process and there are many things to consider in addition to the approach and standards required in order to qualify.

Some issues that a beginner may need help with include:

Personal Indemnity Insurance requirements. A personal recommendation is Holistic Insurance Services who specialise in providing cover for therapists, counsellors and life/ business coaches. (Towergate and Balens also offer insurance for IEMT)

A practitioner will need to ensure Compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) as it is almost certainly the case that a practitioner will be handling and storing (electronically or otherwise) personal data and information about clients.

In addition, a practitioner ought to check whether they need accreditation with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) certification. This costs £40 a year.

These are not hugely expensive outgoings but will ensure that the practitioner is protected from any potential claims made by a client.
