The atmosphere at the Metropolitan Palace Hotel was professional and engaging. With over 300 professionals and students from around the world, there was a clear sense of connection and shared interest among the attendees. The theme, "Psychology Across Cultures," proved to be a relevant framework for the discussions that took place over the two days, led by an accomplished lineup of speakers.

DAY 1 LPA 546 of 635

Mr. Matar found the keynote speeches to be particularly insightful, especially those from APA presidents Dr. Cynthia de las Fuentes and Dr. Debra Kawahara, LOPSY President Dr Leila Dirani, LPA current President Michel Nawfal, and the LPA's founding president, Dr. Brigitte Khoury. The conference covered vital topics, from culturally-informed CBT to the challenges of managing eating disorders in the region. These discussions are essential for the field.

The panel discussion in Arabic was also a significant part of the program. Hearing leaders in the field discuss the development of psychology in the Arab region provided a valuable regional perspective.

Day two offered a series of informative hands-on workshops, covering a diverse range of practical topics, from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and couples therapy to the application of AI in behavioral therapy.

DAY 02 LPA 119 of 187
