In May 2025, The Association for IEMT Practitioners delivered specialist training in Cairo, Egypt, as part of the ongoing Complex War Trauma Recovery Project.

Led by Roni Matar and organised by Lubna Al Sharif of the Laurus Training Center, this one-day programme brought together a group of psychologists and psychiatrists from Gaza and Egypt who are working at the frontline of trauma recovery. The focus of the training was on applying Integral Eye Movement Technique (IEMT) techniques to support individuals affected by the devastating psychological consequences of war and displacement.

This project represents a vital step in equipping practitioners with practical, content-free tools to help those living through ongoing conflict. We are proud to support these professionals in their mission to bring relief, healing, and long-term resilience to their communities.
