Meg was assaulted in her own home. A burglar broke in at 3am, entered her bedroom where she lying naked on the bed. She started screaming when he then put his hand over her mouth and said that he had a knife and he would hurt her if she didn't stop. He then had her stand up and give him money. She started screaming again, once again he threatened to hurt her. He took the money and left.
Since the incident (3 weeks) she has not been able to go to work, has suffered anxiety, night terrors and not been able to sleep properly. She is an extremely confident person and this attack had pulled the rug from under her. She also had mental images of her attacker that she could not remove. She contacted the NHS about therapy but was told it would be a long wait. She feared that her mental health was going to deteriorate. At this point, she was introduced to me by a mutual friend.
Matt Kendall, IEMT Trainer, spoke to Meg via Zoom and did about 15 minutes of IEMT on her issue. Since then Meg has been much better in terms of anxiety, sleep and night terrors. The mental images in her head are now gone and she is getting back to her old self and being able to relax in her own home.
